We take most insurance.
So your first visit is a copay, not a surprise.
You don't have to figure it out alone.
Most people come to us because something has been wearing them down for a while — depression, anxiety, ADHD, sleep, or just feeling stuck. Whatever brought you here, we'll help you understand what's going on and what would actually help.
Psychiatry
If medication might help, we'll talk through your options carefully — the why, the how, and what to watch for. Same clinician every visit. No queue, no rushed handoffs.
How psychiatry works here →Therapy
Real conversations with a licensed therapist who knows your story. We use approaches with strong evidence — CBT, ACT, DBT skills — tailored to what you're working on.
How therapy works here →Advanced treatments Coming soon
For depression that hasn't responded to other treatments, Spravato and TMS will be available at our Niantic office. You won't have to leave your care team to get them.
When standard treatment isn't enough →A real practice, not a platform.
Most of what's marketed as "online mental health" is built for scale, not for people. Quick text exchanges with whoever's available. Five-minute prescription refills. Subscriptions you forget to cancel.
We do something quieter. You'll have a clinician you actually know, in an office you can actually visit, with the option to see them by video when that's easier. Your story stays with one team. The care fits the person.

The things people ask before booking.
How quickly can I be seen?
Most new patients have a first visit within 1–2 weeks. If you reach out in the morning, you'll usually hear back from us the same business day to schedule.
Do you take my insurance?
We're in-network with Aetna, Anthem BCBS, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, ConnectiCare, Optum, Oxford, and most major Connecticut commercial plans. We accept Husky / CT Medicaid for select services. See full list →
What does the first visit cost?
If you're using insurance, your cost is your plan's specialist copay or coinsurance. We verify your benefits before your first visit and tell you in writing what to expect — no surprise bills. For self-pay, the initial 60-minute psychiatric visit is $295. Self-pay rates →
Can I do this from home?
Yes. Secure video visits are available for most appointments, anywhere in Connecticut. Many patients alternate — in person sometimes, video other times. Both work the same way clinically.
Is psychiatry the same as therapy?
No, but they often work together. Psychiatry focuses on diagnosis and (when appropriate) medication. Therapy is the structured conversation work. We offer both at Northline so you can do one, the other, or both with the same team.
What if medication hasn't worked for me before?
That's actually one of the reasons we exist. We carefully review what's been tried, why, and what's left to try. For depression specifically, we're preparing to offer Spravato and TMS at our Niantic office for patients who need next-step options.
Are my visits private?
Yes. Everything you discuss is protected by HIPAA. We don't share information with employers, family, or anyone else without your written permission. Mental-health records have additional protections under Connecticut law.
When you're ready, we're ready.
A short intake call confirms your insurance, answers your questions, and gets you on the schedule. Most patients are seen within 1–2 weeks.
